Since 2000 I have hosted an economic update and market commentary on KPIG Radio 107.5 FM from Freedom, California.
For a summary of the day’s important economic and investment issues, tune in for a different perspective each business day at high noon. It is also repeated on the internet and through KPIG’s other stations as well.
By popular demand I also make my radio shows available here on my blog for people who can’t catch the shows live. Additionally you can find other writings of mine along with links to various items and additional websites that you might find useful.
My “day job” is as an Registered Investment Adviser managing money and providing financial planning services for people and businesses, more information about this can be found under the “Services Tab” on the website. Hi and welcome to The Profit Motive, I’m your host Caleb Lawrence. Once upon a time in America the media acted as the watchdog of the corporations and the state. In the modern era it’s all about ratings and profits, opinion has been substituted for news and frequently is presented as fact. Much like my daily radio show on KPIG 107.5 FM in Santa Cruz California and KPYG FM 94.9 Cayucos/San Luis Obispo California. A thousand Blogs were able to spot the current problems and many began discussing it years before it reached crises proportions. While there were exceptions, and these exceptions are becoming more common, the mainstream media failed to get it and largely continue to do so.
