Despite little real news today with the exception of consumer credit that comes out after the close, the major averages enter the final hour with small gains to begin the week. Black Night reports that the number of underwater mortgages has fallen below 2-million for the first time since 2006 as per its May Mortgage Monitor report. It went on to note that mortgages in foreclosure fell to just .83% while those delinquent dropped to 3.79% bringing the distressed total down to just 4.62% for the month.
